Postal workers always endure the toughest of circumstances, right? The whole 'through wind and rain' thing, and all. But, lately times have been even tougher, so Young Jeffrey decided to serenade members of the USPS with 'Envelopes', his Song of the Week.

Every Friday during Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning, Jeff his Song of the Week. They're not exactly 'parodies', most of the time they're more of a tribute.

Those employed by the United States Postal Service are essential workers to us. And, during the pandemic, they've had to take extreme caution to handle envelopes and packages of literally millions of Americans. It's a dangerous time. It's also an uncertain time for the post office with its federal funding up in the air. And, NOW they've got to deal with the influx of mail-in ballots for the upcoming presidential election.

When it's 98 degrees outside in the dead of summer, we get our mail. When there are six feet of snow on the ground, we get our mail. We even get mail and packages on SUNDAYS because the USPS has to compete with the likes of Amazon. Yet, we rarely stop and thank our mail carrier.

That's where Young Jeffrey comes in. If you're a postal worker, we hope you feel more appreciated after listening to Jeff's song 'Envelopes'. And it you KNOW a postal worker, share this song with them!

You can hear Brooke & Jeffrey in the Morning weekdays from 5-9 a.m. on SoJO.
