Tipping on Takeout, What’s the Right Thing to Do?
There is only one answer to this topic, and I am 100% right.
The food service industry is one of, if not the toughest work environments out there. I know plenty of people have worked in a restaurant at one point or another. One major part of the industry is the takeout service. Convenient for all, I do takeout about 2-3 times a week.
When it comes to tipping, I ALWAYS tip when I do take-out. But when I tip, I write it on the receipt. I refuse to use the tip jar. That comes off as greedy and needy to me.
But there are others who couldn't disagree with me more and then start World War 3. They shall remain nameless, but the people on Facebook and Twitter won't. Here's what you are saying on the matter of tipping on take-out:
