The New Year is in full swing, and 2013 for me is going to be all about trying new things, and finding ways to make everyday life a little more  convenient.  I've been experimenting with everything from this nifty banana slicer to new mascara.

--I'm wild about this creamy Citron, Honey & Coriander hand cream from Crabtree & Evelyn.  The smell is invigorating and soothing, and the lotion sinks into every cuticle and last for hours.

--These days I'm all about lipstick that I can slick on without a mirror.  Neutrogena Moisture Smooth Color Stick makes on-the-go application a breeze.  The sticks are just pigmented enough, but feel soft like a lip balm.  Tons of fruity colors to choose from and they leave a behind a pretty gleam.  Like a big kid crayon!  Plus they're scented!

--I've been a DiorShow Mascara devotee for as long as I can remember.  But I've just recently added Hypnose Star by Lancome to my beauty arsenal.  The wand is flat but pointed like an arrow.  Once I mastered the application, I was giddy at the results.  Long, lush lashes in one swipe.  Perfect for day or night.

--I completely swooned over this limited edition ceramic travel tumbler by the designer Rodarte for Starbucks.  It's such a pretty and artsy way of carting around my hot tea and coffee.  I love the way the silvery cube design picks up light when its sitting in my car or on my desk.  I even got the matching cup sleeve.

--Of course I had to have something to put into my new tumbler, and these Honeybush Mandarin & Orange tea bags from Twinnings are becoming my go-to.  They're bursting with flavor, but calming at the same time because they're decaffeinated.  I add a little extra honey and make this my midday pick-me-up when I've been talking alot!

--And then there's the Hutzler 571 banana slicer.  I'm lazy in the kitchen, and this makes fast work when I'm preparing oatmeal or a smoothie.  So simple, so inexpensive, and now a must-have for rushed mornings.
