Happy Friday SoJO1049.com readers! As you can imagine from last week's post, I have been running all over South Jersey trying to fit in all the excitement of summer! This upcoming weekend, I'm sure will be more of the same: Fun, Work, Sleep & Repeat!
So last night I spent the evening with my old pal, Kelly Clarkson, (Click here to see the pics!) but before your face crinkles into a frown of sadness from missing the show, you can redeem yourself this weekend! The Mixtape Festival rolls into Hershey Park Stadium this Friday & Saturday.
I know, I know... Hershey Park is far and it's not South Jersey, but you might rethink your complaints once you check out the line up!
There is definitely a sound for every ear. Line up includes: Kelly Clarkson, New Kids On The Block, The Fray, The Wanted, Backstreet Boys, 98*, LL Cool J, that "Call Me Maybe" chick & Many More! Click here to check out full line up and schedule.
If you plan on sticking around the Atlantic City area this week, be prepared for some good "people watching" 'cause the city is sure to be packed.
I have planned my "people watching" this Friday at the Atlantic City Airshow. "Thunder Over The Boardwalk," is said to be one of the most popular events in Atlantic City, and one of the very best air shows in the country, with its heart-stopping feats, aerobatics maneuvers, formation flying and solo routines by military and civilian pilots.
I just know, those planes are loud and fast! SoJO on the Go will be set up, so look for the tent! Here's my A.C.L. Tip (Atlantic City Locals Tip) : The boardwalk will be a zoo, but the Hard Rock Cafe located at Pennsylvania Ave & Boardwalk is offering VIP Access package within the "fly zone". For $75 bucks you get a four course menu with 2 hour unlimited beer or wine... if you don't drink you can choose a classic white Hard Rock tee and limited edition 2012 Airshow Pin. Look for my fave bartenders Cherish & Zack and tell 'em Marc D sent ya!
Saturday there are events for every taste! Marc Anthony a.k.a J. Lo's Ex will be in town, Jagged Edge with Dru Hill, funny man David Brenner & of course country music legend Reba McEntyre!
While I'm not sure which one I'm going to I did plan on checking out the newest nightclub in Revel, simply called HQ. It opened a few weeks back, but I like for them to work out all the grand opening kinks before I swoop in and get down!
I'm going there to be entertained, not to stand patient while the bottle girl learns how to ring up a $1000 bottle of vodka! LOL And please have the lighting situation under control: Enough lights to see the bartender's face when you order a beverage, but not feel like you're not under interrogation when you do!

Video pick of the week is Eva Simons "I Don't Like You"... The title seems a little harsh, but I guess it's good for a break up song. LOL! If you're not breaking up, it's just a fun dance track! You might of heard Eva Simons as the vocalist on Afrojack's hit "Take Over Control". Eva has been signed to Interscope Records with her debut album coming in 2012, you can catch her single on the new "Now That's What I Call Music Volume 43"!!
