One of the world's oldest amusement parks is getting ready to reopen once again. Clementon Park will open just in time for the unofficial start of the 2021 summer season.

The 114-year-old amusement park was sold this past Match in its entirety at auction for $2.37 million dollars. The sale included all rides, fixtures, a lake, and a dam.

The amusement park located in Camden County on Berlin Road in Clementon has been closed since the end of the 2019 season. Now Clementon Park and Splash World will get a brand new lease on life when it officially reopens again for Memorial Day Weekend according to a report from NJ.com

Dan Jankovirts, Clementon Park General Manager tells NJ.com and NJ Advanced Media,

“We’re just getting started,” “We want to have, at the very least, the splash park open. We still have to do state inspections. The biggest challenge is just getting open.”

The new owner is a Chicago real estate broker with a love of classic amusement parks. Clementon Park is now hiring for the 2021 season. Positions include Life Guards, Food Team Service Members, Games Team, Human Resources, Ride Operators, Park Services, Gift Shop, and Maintenance.

Some of the perks of working this summer include free admission to the park on your day off, merchandise discounts, and flexible scheduling.
