The northbound lane of the Garden State Parkway proved to be a mess between Exit 30 and Exit 36 for several hours on Monday afternoon because of a bus accident that is raising some questions 24 hours later.

Monday's accident saw 36 students from Charter Tech High School in Somers Point being bused home, but were instead sent to local hospitals after one of the wheels on the bus came off forcing driver Christine Williams (54) of Pleasantville to loose control and get the car off the road to avoid hitting another car.

12 of the 36 students did suffer injuries, but all were minor and they were all reportedly home by some time last night.

Questions still abound from this accident, and State Police continue to look into this.  CBS 3 in Philly has tweeted in the last hour that their investigation has found that the same bus involved in the crash was removed from service in October for bald tires.

More details should be coming out over the next few days, so follow sojo1049.com for more information as it becomes available.
