South Jersey School Principal Accused of Theft

On Friday, March 1, Evesham Township Police Department arrested 46-year-old Colleen Schroeder, reports 6abc.com. During the month of February, the Helen L. Beeler Elementary principal allegedly helped herself to $700 right out of the school's main office.

Authorities did not say whether the money, which belongs to Evesham Township School District, according to 6abc.com, was stolen over the course of the month or if Schroeder took a lump sum all at once.

Evesham Township School District released a statement regarding Principal Schroeder's five finger discount, saying, 'The District has been in contact with the Evesham Police Department and fully intends to cooperate with the Police Department'.

Principal in Evesham Twp., NJ Charged with Stealing School Cash

Colleen Schroeder is now officially facing a third degree criminal charge of theft for her alleged pilfering and has reportedly been temporarily been relieved of her duties at Beeler Elementary as police and continue their investigation. She will next appear in front of a Burlington County judge, according to Evesham Township PD.
