A Fool Proof Plan to Avoid Spoilers
It's April, which I am now calling spoiler month. Between Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame, the internet is going to be a dangerous place if you are trying to avoid spoilers. However, you don't have to live your life in fear. I have come up with a fool proof plan to avoid said spoilers.
- 1
Stay off social media.
This is an easy and obvious one. As much as we like to think that perhaps people would be decent enough to not post spoilers after a particular episode or movie, that will never happen.
- 2
Don't talk to anyone.
You can't trust your friends and family with spoilers. Honestly I am terrible at keeping secrets myself, so I can't guarantee that I would be able to keep spoilers to myself.
- 3
Don't listen to conversations around you.
Water cooler talk can be dangerous. Before I watched Game of Thrones I would hear people at work talk about the show, which of course mildly ruined the show for me. The Red Wedding wasn't a shock.
- 4
Don't watch TV.
If anything major happens in a TV show or movie, entertainment magazine shows will be talking all about it. The great dusting purge of Infinity War, all over TV.
- 5
Don't go to any store.
Grocery stores, Target, Walmart, and drug stores; they're all off limits. When Game of Thrones brought Jon Snow back to life, every single magazine had it on the cover.
- 6
Just stay in bed.
Honestly, you're better off living as a hermit if you are behind on any popular TV show or movie.
