Twitter Sets a New Character Limit On Tweets

First, Twitter replaced their classic 'Favorite' stars into 'Likes' hearts. Now, they are extending the character limit for tweets to over 71 times longer the original limit of 140 characters.

Twitter has announced they may soon allow a 10,000 character limit on tweets which completely changes the layout of Twitter. Twitter's main appeal for most people was the challenge of putting their thoughts into 140 characters. But at the same time, that was also the most annoying thing about Twitter.

Personally, I think Twitter should remain with its 140 character limit. If I wanted to write more, I would resort to Facebook, or even Tumblr. Twitter is literally the one place I can keep my thoughts short and sweet. If Twitter decides to change the limit, what special quality does it have?
