The U.S. Postal Service is testing a service that emails photos to people of their letter-size mail. But, don't worry it's only a picture of the outside.

This new service, "Informed Delivery", will be making its way to New York City and is completely free. The system has been operating for awhile in areas of Virginia, and is available to sign up for online. It also does not apply to packages, just an FYI.

Why would you want the outside emailed to you anyway?

I'm not exactly sure why because it is not even the interior, but the Postal Service has been taking photographs of our mail for a while now in order to track and sort it.
