Teen Dies During Sleepover Party in Mantua

A 14-year old teen girl died this weekend in Mantua while attending a sleepover party.

Kara Lemanowicz, an incoming freshman at Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, was spending Friday night with some of her friends from the soccer team at a home on the 200 block of Barnsboro Road in Mantua. She was found unresponsive Saturday morning around 9 a.m. in the tent she was sleeping in, 6abc.com reports.

Paramedics arrived and pronounced Kara dead on the scene.

An autopsy will take place, but investigators do not suspect foul play, drugs or alcohol.

A candlelight vigil took place Saturday night at Giangiulio Field in Voorhees in honor of Kara.
