Hurricane Sandy

Yesterday while I was at Revel Resorts in Atlantic City for the Creepy Cocktail Crawl, I snapped this shot of the ocean.  Though the waves weren't high, they were rolling and crashing fast like the ocean was trying to get away from itself.  Show Hurricane Sandy to us!

The evacuation process along the Jersey continues to mount into what could be a mass exodus by Sunday night.  Add Long Beach Island to the list!

Forecasters have their eye on Hurricane Sandy as it churns up the East Coast and has the potential to meet with a winter storm on its way. If it does, it could create the perfect storm and could wreak havoc on New Jersey and New York City in the process.

Last year power outages swept through N.J. due to that freak storm around Halloween.  With another freak storm approaching we should be prepared for the worst.

The beach town of Brigantine, New Jersey is joining Cape May County in recommending resident evacuations ahead of Hurricane Sandy.

Hurricane Sandy has left places like Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas in shambles - sadly the worst of this system may be yet to come.

Cape May County announced moments ago that there is a voluntary evacuation for all barrier islands in Cape May. That voluntary evacuation will become mandatory on Sunday, before the full impact of hurricane Sandy hits the East Coast...

Is "The Perfect Storm" coming our way?  The threat from Hurricane Sandy is there, and some rains will hit staring this weekend, but how big this storm will be depends on the track it takes.

Remember what happened last year around this time ..... that brutal storm that left a great deal of South Jersey without power ...... could history repeat itself?
