One of the area's biggest talent competitions is back and they're looking for local contestants!

They're back! South Jersey Storm Cheer Team made an appearance for the first time since 2013 in the CHEERSPORT National Competition this past weekend!

If you're into unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks, pizza and all-you-can-eat wings for 3 hours...Then come support The Pinelands Jersey Devils to help them represent South Jersey at the National Competition in Florida!

The entire community is invited to Hammonton’s Miss America Viewing Party tonight beginning at 8pm. The competition will feature this year’s Miss New Jersey, Hammonton’s own Lindsey Giannini.

Tonight is the Miss America competition at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall – and live on ABC-TV. Do you still want to go? Miss America officials have released another section of tickets for tonight’s show – and Townsquare Media are helping you get them for free!

Reigning Miss New Jersey Lindsey Giannini will really be using Atlantic City real estate to her advantage as she rolls along the boardwalk for the annual Show Us Your Shoes parade. She might even pass go and collect $200.

It was a big week for Brigantine chef Nicole Gaffney to survive on The Next Food Network Star.  Nicole just barely survived her live demonstration on The Rachel Ray Show, but she lives to compete another week in hopes of earning her own pilot show on The Food Network.

Since it's the Summer of SoJO, it's open season for us to subject our faithful listeners to all kinds of nonsense.  Case in point, Saturday's Bobbing for Pickles Competition on the boardwalk in front of Bally's Casino in Atlantic City.

On Friday, February 7 the Atlantic City Alliance hosted the DO AC Ultimate Cocktail Party at Phillips Seafood to celebrate the kick-off of their "Taste of Summer" festivities. All 11 casinos presented their hand-crafted summer cocktails for a panel of judges and party guests, including me!

It's a sport called Acrobatic Gymnastics.  How about a training ground for a future with Cirque du Soleil?  This trio of gymnasts pull off stunts I've never seen before, and barely seem to break a sweat.  They take flexibility to a whole other level in this amazing video.

Julie Paolella's clever use of peanut butter and jelly could make her a millionaire.  The Galloway Twp. resident is a semi-finalist in the national $1 million Pillsbury Bake Off thanks to her simplistic danish creation.

The 2nd Annual First State Queens Pageant is taking place on Sunday, September 8th!  Last year the tri-state pageant's title of First State Pre-Teen Queen went to Vineland's own Shelby Ward.  And for the first time, the event will offer a separate talent competition!
