Since it's the Summer of SoJO, it's open season for us to subject our faithful listeners to all kinds of nonsense.  Case in point, Saturday's Bobbing for Pickles Competition on the boardwalk in front of Bally's Casino in Atlantic City.

The whole idea was the brainchild of and in honor of both Pickles Deli, located at Bally's, and United Pickle Association (who knew there was such a thing?).

Our contestants bobbed for pickles out of a kiddie pool, passed off the pickle by mouth to their partner, who ran to drop it into a bucket.  The team who successfully transferred the most pickles in five minutes won a 2-night stay at Bally's plus $200 dinner.

Our winner was Team Taylor McNellis of Franklinville.  Taylor (the bobber) and her partner delivered 35 pickles to the bucket in the allotted time!  Our runners up from Team Tony/Emery transferred 34!  Poor Taylor even split her lip bobbing to victory!

Be sure do visit Bally's when you #DOAC this Summer of SoJO!  Pickles Deli makes delicious light fare, and there's the new Buca de Beppo Italian Restaurant open now, as well as Guy Fieri's Chop House.

Thanks again to Jerry and the entire Bally's staff for inviting SoJO to host this salty and wet event.  And to Pickles Deli for the awesome lunch they provided SoJO On The Go!
