Police Investigate After Woman was Shot and Killed in AC

New Jersey authorities are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in Atlantic City, Sunday night.

6abc News, says it happened on 400 block of North Virginia Avenue.

When officers and medics arrived on the scene, they found the 37-year-old woman in the courtyard area near the town-homes.

Medics rushed her to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m.

Her identity has yet to be revealed. Until then, authorities ask anyone with information to call the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit at (609)-909-7666. Witnesses may also contact the Atlantic City Police Department Investigations Division at (609)-347-5766.
