Oldest Tavern in New Jersey
The oldest tavern in New Jersey...just happens to be in SOUTH Jersey!
I've been to the oldest pub in Ireland (The Brazen Head, since 1198), the oldest tavern in Philadelphia (McGillins, since 1860), and now the oldest tavern in New Jersey!
The Barnsboro Inn, in Sewell, has been there since 1720, and licensed since 1776. Try the reuben.
They also offer a selection of craft beers on tap (which you know I like). It's just kinda neat to think that you are having food and drink in a rustic place that is older than our country!
If you're a beer lover like me then you won't want to miss our Sea Isle City Beer Fest! It's all happening on Saturday, June 4th and Kix McNutley in Sea Isle City.
