New Jersey is nice and trim overall, according to a new report.  The Garden State has been ranked the 4th skinniest state in the nation following a study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  Colorado landed the top spot with the lowest obesity rate in the country for a second straight year.  Mississippi has the highest.





U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Skinny States Survey:

1.  Colorado, obesity rate of just 20.7 percent

2.  Hawaii

3.  Massachusetts

4.  (tie) New Jersey and Washington D.C., obesity rate of 23.7 percent

Obese States Survey:

1.  Mississippi, obesity rate of 34.9

2.  Louisiana

3.  West Virginia

4.  Alabama

5.  Michigan
