She was healthy just days before she passed.

Five-year old Lilyana Fernandez, nicknamed 'Lil', passed away Friday of a rare form of bacterial meningitis.

She had just visited  the doctor after symptoms of an ear infection, the doctors gave her drops but the symptoms became worse.  According to The Press of Atlantic City, the little girl from Erma went from an ear ache to brain surgery and a coma just five days later.

She passed away just weeks before she was to begin kindergarten at the David C. Douglass Memorial School.  Her Mother, Shannon Decker, claimed that she was planning on taking her only child to Disney World in November.  She also added, 'She was wonderful. She was my everything.  She was just a sweet light. She lit up everything with her smile. I’m a single mom and she was my whole world, my whole life. She loved to dance, she was a ballerina, and she loved to sing. She had her first loose tooth. She didn’t even lose it yet.'
