Do you consider yourself a movie buff? If so, then I'm sure you know that there's been many fascinating films that have been set right here in our home state!

The folks at Thrillist have just released a new list that features the greatest movies set in every single state. Of course there are so many classics on the list.

The criteria used in determining the list of flicks includes movies primarily based in that given state, AND how that particular state raised collective consciousnesses throughout the U.S.

According to the list the absolute best movie to ever take place in the Garden State is the classic, On The Waterfront, which was released in 1954! The movie starred Marlon Brando who actually won the Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal as an up and coming boxer and dockworker in Hoboken.

Some other notable films set in our state include, Jersey Boys, Clerks and Atlantic City.

Oh and for all you film buffs, the movie that best represents the state of Pennsylvania according to the list is not Rocky (even though it would have been MY choice). Instead Thrillist named Groundhog Day (1993) starring Bill Murray. Check out the full list of movies set in every single state here.
