Food shoppers in Gloucester Township, New Jersey now have a new place to save. It's called Grocery Outlet Bargain Market and it just opened in Sicklerville.

What is Grocery Outlet?

Grocery Outlet is a supermarket that sells traditional brands at a discount. Its inventory is reportedly made up of overstock and closeout items, Patch.com reports.

It's a pretty traditional grocery store where you can do your shopping for meats, produce, dairy, and other staples, as well as a variety of natural and organic options. There's also reportedly a deli.

New Grocery Outlet Full of Discounts Officially Open in Gloucester Township, NJ

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market's big Gloucester Township debut came Thursday when it officially opened its doors to shoppers.

You'll find it located at 677 Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Sicklerville (next to Friendly's at the corner of Johnson Road). It moves into the building once occupied by Rite-Aid pharmacy. It's open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

As a bonus, new customers can enter for to win $1,000 Grocery Outlet shopping spree. The contest runs online through June 25th.

It's independently owned by The Maxeys, a local couple out of neighboring Blackwood, New Jersey. In a statement shared by Patch.com, they say, "We are so thrilled to become integral members of the Sicklerville community, offering substantial savings on quality groceries. Through our collaboration with Grocery Outlet, we have the opportunity to expand our business, generate employment opportunities, and, most importantly, contribute to the betterment of our local community."

The opening of the supermarket brings more than three dozen jobs to the Gloucester Township area, according to Patch.com.

Grocery Outlet of Sicklerville is already giving back to the local community, too, donating $1,000 to For the Love of Pete’s Pantry (a nonprofit providing nonperishable food/necessities to people struggling with food insecurity) and $500 to NJ Aid for Animals (a charity aiding abused and abandoned animals run entirely by volunteers).
