Sewell NJ Man Rams Barrier Near Washington Monument in D.C.

A man from Gloucester County, who reportedly wants to be New Jersey's new governor, is facing federal charges after allegedly steering his truck towards a group of pedestrians on a sidewalk near the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. and crashing into a concrete barrier.

38-year-old Jack Joseph Dessin, of Sewell, had some interesting words written on his vehicle, according to Courier Post, which read that his home state is in need of "a completely new radical way of thinking. Dessin reportedly has plans to try and replace Gov. Phil Murphy, running for NJ's highest office as an independent.

The incident reportedly happened around 7:30 p.m. on July 3rd, Dessin seemingly having no regard for the people walking around our nation's capitol on a it's birthday weekend.

Dessin, an author according to Courier Post, wants the Garden State to let it's citizens who possess fire arms to be able to openly carry them, and also appears to support the possession of assault-style guns and military-style protective gear.

In addition to the assault with a dangerous weapon (his vehicle), Jack Joseph Dessin has also been charged by the feds with destruction of government property.
