The news broke earlier this week that Gilchrist Restaurant would open for in-house dining. After only one day of defying the NJ mandate that prohibits in-house seating, they've closed once again, only currently offering take-out to patrons.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, the owner, Mike Barham was issued a verbal warning by the AC Division of Public Health after ignoring the order in place to pause all in-house dining and opened his eatery. Once Governor Murphy announced that restaurants could once again open outdoor seating later this month, Barham apparently felt like he could comply with that and wait it out until June 15th.

While you'll have to wait to enjoy Gilchrist's outdoor seating, they are still accepting take-out orders.
