An overnight fire blazed through a well-known South Jersey restaurant is now closed for repairs.

The Blue Plate restaurant located on South Main Street in Mullica Hill will be closed for about a month according to the fire chief.

The flames tore through the restaurant and in the kitchen as well as the apartments upstairs. Two people were displaced because of the fire.

The restaurant opened in 2005 and specializes in farm-to-fork classics with a modern twist. The Blue Plate expanded in recent years and doubled it's seating size to accommodate growing traffic.

No official word yet from officials as to how the fire started in the first place.
