Cherry Hill School Teacher Charged with Sexually Assaulting Her Student
A Camden Catholic High School teacher is in big trouble with the law after being accused of sexually assaulting one of her students.
The assaults allegedly took place between January 2019 and March of this year, just before Camden Catholic High closed amid the coronavirus pandemic, reports Patch.com. The victim was reportedly a student in one of Bridget Sipera's classes at the school.
Sipera, of Cherry Hill, was arrested Wednesday for her crimes and sits in the Camden County Correctional Facility, awaiting her first court hearing.
Police in Cherry Hill and Gloucester Township reportedly found evidence that the sexually assaults took place in both of those locations, something 36-year-old Sipera admitted to. Her victim was 17 at the time the sexually assaults began.
Bridget Sipera now faces charges of second-degree sexual assault, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child in both Cherry Hill and Gloucester Twp.
Authorities have not revealed whether Sipera's sexual encounters with the 17-year-old were consensual. Either way, she was wrong on so many levels.
We'll continue to update this story as more details become available.
