Cherry Hill Police Searching for Suspect in Attempted Kidnapping
It was a harrowing ordeal for one woman in Cherry Hill woman when she was allegedly accosted and nearly kidnapped Friday.
The incident happened at Plaza Grande condominiums at Garden State Plaza (the former Garden State Racetrack) off Garden Park Blvd. around 7:30 p.m. Friday, according to Courier Post.
On her way from the parking complex into the lobby of the number 300 building, the woman was reportedly approached by a man who followed her into the building's elevator and then brandished a fire arm.
The suspect then robbed the victim of her belongings before forcing her back into the parking garage where he attempted to kidnap her, at gun point, trying to force her into the trunk of a sedan, according to Cherry Hill Police. The woman managed to break away from her attacker, and he fled the scene in the same car, Courier Post reports.
The suspect, described as a man between the ages of 35 to 45 years old, approximately 5 ft, 10 in. tall, thin in stature with and wavy black and gray hair, was seen driving away along Garden Park Boulevard.

While the woman who escaped has not been identified, we know her injuries were minor. She is one brave lady. She must have been so scared but found the will to fight back.
