Acting Local Fire Chief Passes Away

The sudden death of a local fire chief has left this shore community in mourning.....

Acting Fire Chief James Holl, of Brigantine, was found dead in his home on Sunday.

Holl was a 27-year veteran of the Brigantine Fire Department, as well as a veteran of the Air Force Reserve.

He's also known for overseeing  the city’s firefighters 'through some of their toughest assignments before, during and after Hurricane Sandy.' (Press of Atlantic City)

The cause of his death has not been released as of yet.  Holl was 51.
