Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar is a relatively small chain of restaurants with several locations in New Jersey and according to the chain's website, it will be permanently closing all but 3 of its locations, including the one located in Garden State Park (near Cheesecake Factory) in Cherry Hill.

Less than 3 years ago, a restaurant-industry website called fsr.com named Zinburger one of the "Top 50 Emerging Restaurant Chains" in America. Unfortunately, Zinburger says in the post on its site that "the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant financial impact on the restaurant industry. Sadly Zinburger is not able to reopen all locations as a result of the shutdown caused by the pandemic."

In May of last year, delish.com published a post titled, "The Burger Joint Everyone Is Talking About in Your State," which featured Zinburger as tops in New Jersey.

I only went to Zinburger once and I thought it was good, but since I'm not a huge fan of wine, I felt like I was missing out on part of the experience. I remember being impressed with the choice of side dishes, which included tater tots, onion rings, and sweet potato waffle fries.

I also was really intrigued by the shakes and desserts that Zinburger offered. That menu included things like a shake that used hazelnut spread and pieces of Kit Kat candy bars, a root beer float, and a slice of banana cream pie. (Now that the Zinburger in Cherry Hill has closed, I'm really regretting my decision to not try the banana cream pie).

The 3 Zinburger locations that will not be closing are in Bridgewater, Marlboro and Clifton.
