Bon Jovi has been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and the way I see it, Bon Jovi doesn't need to be in the Hall of Fame. I'll tell you why...

I think that Bon Jovi doesn't need to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and here are my reasons why:

  • The guys are too normal and down to earth. They are not really the stereotypical ROCK 'N' ROLL guys.
  • We love Bon Jovi because they are Jersey boys done good. They don't need an nomination, award or induction for us to love them!
  • They aren't in the music business for awards and titles.
  • They've sold over 130 million albums worldwide,  performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 34 million fans, according to Wikipedia. They don't need positive reinforcement. They're pretty popular.
  • The guys are very busy and have other projects going on, besides the band.
  • They're still going strong and don't need to be "retired" into the Hall of Fame.
  • Will people who don't like Bon Jovi, start liking them if they are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? No. Their fans love them.
  • What do you really get with being in the Hall of Fame anyway? It's pretty much just a title, right?

So, it doesn't really matter if or when Bon Jovi gets inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. We'll still love them and their music, either way.
