A broad-daylight shooting at a shopping center in Willingboro, Burlington County Monday afternoon has police still searching for the gunman.

There shooter remains at large today, according to 6abc.com, and authorities have not relayed if they have any leads on his whereabouts.

The events unfolded around 5:30 p.m. Monday in the parking lot of Willingboro Town Center off Route 130 (just outside Hair Cuttery and Subway). Witnesses recall hearing at least five gunshots, 6abc.com reports. One man was shot and wounded. He was initially taken to Virtua Hospital for treatment, according to Burlington County Prosecutor's Office, before being transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. He remains in stable condition following emergency surgery there.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victim or if they know the name of the gunman.

Also unknown is if the shooter and the victim had prior knowledge of each other or if the victim was targeted.
