The pharmacy chain Walgreens, which has numerous locations in South Jersey, has announced it will shut down 200 of its stores nationwide.

Walgreens hopes to reduce its annual bottom line by more than a billion dollars, reports Patch.com.

The closures are set to begin this fall, but Walgreens has yet to roll out a list of locations that will be affected. As soon as we know more we'll pass the news along.

On a side note, Walgreens, which also owns Rite Aid, will reportedly close about 750 of those stores as well.
