Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office investigation into a Vineland Police officer stems from an incident involving a 60-year-old man in the parking lot of a hospital.

The officer attempted to arrest a man who appeared intoxicated outside Inspira Medical Center. The man's daughter Anastasia Oslin claims that in the process of the arrest, the officer threw her father to the ground, resulting in a skull fracture, 6abc.com reports. He remains hospitalized in critical condition, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office on Facebook.

Oslin tells 6abc that the officer was wearing a body camera, and she would like to view the footage to understand why there was a need for such excessive force.

Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office posted the incident on it's Facebook page, stating, 'Subject took a step toward a female and a security officer with clenched fists, at which time Officer #1 grabbed the subject and ultimately took him to the ground to restrain and handcuff him.'
