Elf on the Shelf is the star of the show leading up to Christmas. Social media blows up each December with photos of the mischievous little elf. This Thanksgiving you can start a new tradition with your family with Thanksgiving's answer to Elf on the Shelf craze. Welcome into your home this Thanksgiving, Turkey on the Table.

While Elf on the Shelf gets into a little bit of trouble while watching kids and reporting back to Santa during the Christmas season, Turkey on the Table brings families together to talk about what they are thankful for each year. According to their website, "Our goal is to turn thankfulness into a daily routine.  As parents, we want to instill values in our children that help them understand and appreciate all of life’s blessings. Cultivating a grateful heart helps create a happy child!"

Turkey on the Table kits come with the turkey, feathers to write on, a marker, and a book. Replacement feathers in a variety of styles are available for purchase as well so you can use your turkey each Thanksgiving. Just like Elf on the Shelf, accessories are available as well such as hats and glasses.

For each Turkey on the Table kit sold, the company provides 10 meals to people in need in conjunction with Feeding America. By the end of 2018, they had donated over 1 million meals.

The site does state that in order to receive your turkey kit by Thanksgiving, you must purchase it by 3:00 PM EST on November 22nd.
