It seems that Atlantic City doesn't want to wait any longer on what to do with the vacant Showboat.

We originally thought that Stockton University was going to operate an island based campus and private hotel at the property formerly known as Showboat.  That operation was delayed due to a 1988 covenant, which required the property to operate as a casino.  Today, things could get even more interesting.

As a bankruptcy court judge approved the sale of Revel to a Florida real estate developer, Stockton University students protested in front of its neighbor over Trump Entertainment's disapproval of turning Showboat into a college campus.

Just when you thought we were getting a few steps ahead, we take a few steps backwards.

Published reports say Caesars Entertainment will sell the former Showboat Casino Hotel site in Atlantic City to Stockton College.

Harry Hurley has learned and confirmed that Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort employees have received amended federal WARN notices and the casino could close in December.

With the closing of Revel and Showboat upon us, and Trump Plaza closing on Sept 15th, Atlantic City is getting prepared for the mass amount of people that will be out of work.
