At one point over the weekend, smoke from a South Jersey forest fire could be seen on weather radar, making its way from the Wharton State Forest to the coast of South Jersey.
The Stafford Forge Wildlife Management Area, in Little Egg Harbor Township burned throughout the day. The fire, which was fanned by gusting winds throughout the day, has consumed over 400 acres.
Heroic First Responders battled a blaze over the weekend in Southern Ocean County. Firefighters from towns around the State responded to this fire that burned approximately 1,000 acres in Little Egg Harbor.
