2012 Summer Olympics

All the hype around South Jersey native Jordan Burroughs was geared toward one eventual goal, and today was the day whether or not he could back that up.  His mission has been accomplished, and now he owns a Gold Medal from the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

While the Olympic games has brought world wide attention, people in South Jersey have kept their eye on one particular athlete, their hometown hero!

If you have been watching the Summer 2012 Olympics, you're already ranting and raving about one particular sport.  (Unless some sports outlet already spoiled the results for ya.)

The 2012 Summer Olympics have not gone down perfectly, but NBC is getting the last laugh as the Nielsen Ratings officially prove that the London Games are a huge TV hit!

American judo fighter Nick Delpopolo was expelled from the Olympics on Monday for doping, saying he unintentionally ate something before the games that had been baked with marijuana.

Olympic athletes seem to have 3 things in common - they train hard, they are dedicated to their sport, and they make sure they keep their energy up with food.  What food they choose and how much can be unimaginable.

The last time the term "Wardrobe Malfunction" was used, CBS and Janet Jackson seemed to suffer the consequences of that football moment.  Today we have a repeat moment on TV, but this time it was a battle in the Olympic pool that caused a slip.

Sad news to report from London that a man on a bicycle was struck and killed by an Olympic bus in a horrible accident.

With the Olympic coverage all over the NBC family of networks, life has a way of getting in the way of watching them live.  Despite seeing results all over the internet, tape delay coverage on the main network, a flub in promoting coverage, and even some mocking on Twitter, NBC is scoring high numbers in the Nielsen ratings.

We have already seen some great moments at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games from London, and the games of the 30th Olympiad is only just beginning.  Last night it was gymnastics on stage, and the drama could be felt, especially by the parents of one U.S. gymnast.
