While the Olympic games has brought world wide attention, people in South Jersey have kept their eye on one particular athlete, their hometown hero!

Congrats to Carli Lloyd and the U.S. Women Soccer team, as they held on to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Japan!  They got redemption from their world cup loss, and also earned their third straight gold metal.

But more importantly, the former Rutgers University star came up big, as she scored both goals for the United States.

Lloyd also scored the winning goal during the 2008 games.

Feel free to congratulate Carli on a job well done below!
