A Brand New BBQ Joint Is Coming To Silverton, NJ And Hopefully Soon

There are a ton of different places to eat in Silverton to begin with, however, as far as I can tell BBQ doesn't seem to be on the menu.

There's Jimmy G's, Rivs Hub, a few bagel shops, a Vibe N Slurp, the Silverton Diner, as well as a few quick in-and-out places like a McDonald's.

However last night I was making the trip down Hooper through Silverton after band practice, and noticed a sign in the window of the former Cozy Kitchen Cafe.

In big letters, it said Coming Soon.

Is There A BBQ Place Opening In Silverton Soon?

I passed Rand Plaza off Hooper and noticed a big sign that said Sweet Carolina BBQ coming soon.

I can't believe I'd never noticed it before, I drive down that section of Hooper at least twice a week!

Immediately, I got excited, if you've ever listened to my afternoon show on 105.7 The Hawk, then you know I'm a BBQ fanatic.

But after doing a little digging, I'm not wholly sure when Sweet Carolina BBQ is set to open its store in Silverton.

Their website states they used to operate a BBQ joint in New Egypt, up until December of 2022.

From there, it looks like they moved into doing a catering business, catering weddings, private parties, business lunches, and more.

Sweet Carolina BBQ also operates a food truck, according to their social media.

But when will the restaurant in the Rand Plaza actually open?

Sadly it doesn't look like there's a solid opening date yet, but if I hear anything you'll be the first to know!
