The allegations against 50-year-old Marc Heick were so serious that the investigation involved multiple agencies, including the department of Homeland Security, according to Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Acting on a tip that someone in the Heick Somerdale home was alleged to have been searching the web for sexually explicit images involving kids, detectives were able to secure and execute a search warrant. That warrant reportedly turned up evidence that confirmed the suspicions.

In addition to Homeland Security agents (from the Cherry Hill office of HSI), the search warrant was executed on Wednesday, February 10 by investigators from the High-Tech Crimes Unit, Somerdale Police Department, and Camden County Sheriff’s Special Emergency Response Team, camdencountypros.org reports.

Marc Heick's computer reportedly contained child sexual exploitation material. Authorities also confiscated other digital devices for further investigation.

Heick was placed under arrest and taken to Somerdale Police Department where he was processed and eventually charged with one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of Children. Heick was released on his own reconnaissance, and awaits his day in court.

Camden County Prosecutor's Office reminds the public, 'All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.'

Thanks to the brave tipster and the authorities who took the allegations seriously enough to mount an investigation.
