I've been trying to maintain a healthier lifestyle since I moved to South Jersey. But, eating at home isn't always easy and I may end up eating something not healthy for me. Fooducate helps me know what foods are good and healthy to eat.

This app is extremely easy to use, plus it's free!

Fooducate provides for you a barcode scanner so that you can scan whatever food you want to know more information about. For instance, let's say I want to eat Nature's Valley granola bars. I would scan the barcode and Fooducate would provide for me all the nutritional value on the product with a grade score.

The grade score is on a typical grading basis (A, B, C, D) and the app even provides healthy alternatives instead of eating this exact product. It's informative and really helpful if you're trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It's even great if you want to know more about what is in the products your children are eating.

Fooducate also has other features I haven't exactly used but it is there for your benefit. You're able to track your progress, write your fitness goals, and check out healthy recipes within the Fooducate community. I must warn you that I noticed once I started using this app, I would constantly scan everything I consumed and there are some products I will no longer eat. So, if you want to know more about what you're consuming, this is the app for you.

Fooducate is available for Apple and Android phones. Learn more about Fooducate here.
