This May, Six Flags Great Adventure is hosting a sensory-friendly Autism Day to accommodate families with members on the autism spectrum!

On Wednesday, May 8th, the park will be closed to the public so that families affected by autism can enjoy the park with less crowding, little to no ride lines, less intense music and lights on rides, sensory-friendly areas and more. Six Flags Great Adventure says that it is a day for anyone on the autism spectrum to enjoy with their friends, families, and educators.

To help guests with planning for the event, the park has also provided a sensory level guide for their attractions. This will help families attending decide which rides may or may not be suitable for them.

This is a private event that requires special ticketing. The tickets cost $39.99 plus tax per person and can be purchased by clicking here.
