Six Flags has announced a new way to order food when the park reopens (whenever that may be), according to Business Wire.

I know lots of people in the area are anxiously awaiting the reopening of Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. In the meantime, the safari attraction there has been reopened, the way it used to be when I was a kid, you drive through it, in your own vehicle. But, when the park itself finally reopens, there's going to be new way for you to get food. You're going to order it on the Six Flags app. It will be easy, fast, and it will ensure social distancing, instead of waiting in a packed line. Sounds good to me.

Here's what you'll do: Download the Six Flags app, choose Mobile Ordering, pick one of their restaurants that has the Mobile Ordering option, and select your food. Once you order, you'll pay electronically, Six Flags will confirm your order, and you'll be told how to pick up your order. Hope it's as easy as it sounds. You'll be able to track the progress of your order, and you'll be notified as soon as it's ready.

For all you Season Pass holders, your dining offers will be on the app, and membership discounts will be taken off during checkout, the article says.

Senior Vice President of In-Park Services, Bonnie Sherman Weber, says, "Social distancing is a key component of our operations. By utilizing Mobile Food Ordering, guests will spend significantly less time in food lines and more time enjoying their visit. More than 75% of our dining locations now offer this option, with more being added daily. We are thrilled to offer our guests the convenience of ordering their favorite theme park foods right from the palm of their hands.”

No word on when Six Flags Great Adventure will be reopening to in-park guests.

I'll keep you posted.
