She Gives Her Boyfriend an Allowance

Mary in Galloway tells us that she gives her unemployed boyfriend an allowance, and her girlfriends give her a really hard time about it.

Mary, who is 31 years old, tells us that she's been dating her 26 year old boyfriend for a little over a year. About a week after they met, he was fired from his job and hasn't been able to get a job since.

Right after he was fired, he asked Mary if she could help him with his bills and car payment until he could find another job. Problem is - he still doesn't have a job after being out of work for over a year.

Mary agreed to give him an "allowance" to help pay his basics, but her girlfriends think he's taking Mary for a ride and she will never get her money back.

Mary says that she's doing a good thing by helping out her boyfriend who is having a hard time. Her girlfriends say that he is totally taking advantage of her and Mary should drop him like a hot rock.
