Seven Ways to Cool Off in South Jersey
The summer of 2016 rolls on and so does the hot weather with sweltering temperatures. If you're in need of some fun ways to beat the heat and cool down in South Jersey, you're in luck!
- 1
Go See a Movie
Here's a great way to beat the heat. Just pile into an ice, cold air-conditioned movie theater on a hot summer day!
Star Trek Beyond is my must see summer movie. What's yours?
- 2
Go to a Water Park
The OC Waterpark is a great place for the entire family to cool off.
- 3
Rollerskating
What better way to stay cool and to get some exercise at the same time. FYI, Young's Skating Center in Mays Landing offers summer skating sessions.
- 4
Go Bowling
Bowling is yet another fun activity for the kids, and a great way to help you stay cool.
I always feel like I get a good workout after bowling a few games too. So that's an added bonus.
- 5
Go to the Public Library
Public libraries have so much to offer both kids and adults. You can't beat spending an afternoon in an air-conditioned library full of books and activities!
- 6
Visit the Atlantic City Aquarium
The Atlantic City Aquarium located at Historic Gardner's Basin has more than 100 varieties of fish and marine animals. You can also get up close and personal with sharks by visiting their shark touch tank!

Flyers Skate Zone
Cool off on the ice (literally) at the Flyers Skate Zone! Located on Albany Avenue in Atlantic City, Skate Zone is open for public skating and even has lessons available!
