Right off the heals of the devastating fire that tore through the Pine Barrens in Burlington County, the entire South Jersey region has been issued a fire warning from the National Weather Service this morning that's currently in effect until 9pm tonight.

Galloway Township Police Department shared this warning released by the National Weather Service to their Facebook:

The National Weather Service clarifies

"A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly due to a combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels. Any fires that develop may quickly get out of control and become difficult to contain. For more information about wildfire danger, burn restrictions, and wildfire prevention and education, please visit your state forestry or environmental protection website."

Counties that should heed this warning are Atlantic, Cape May, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem, among others. Check out the full list HERE!
