Rapper Beanie Sigel Shot in Pleasantville

Famed Philadelphia rap star Beanie Sigel was reportedly shot early Friday morning while at his home in Pleasantville.

Sigel's attorney told 6abc.com that the performer was not the intended target of the shooting which occurred happened around 9 a.m. on Spruce Ave. in Pleasantville.

According to the family, Sigel had just come home after dropping his kids off at school when he was shot twice in the stomach. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

So far police have no suspect or motive in this shooting.

Pleasantville Police confirmed another person at the home at the time of the shooting suffered minor injuries after what appeared to be a scuffle.

Sigel is no stranger to trouble. In August, he moved from federal prison to a halfway house after serving a two-year tax-evasion sentence. He returned home to serve out house arrest in September.  He was previously shot in 2006 in Philadelphia.
