Pedestrian Hit This Morning on Route 73 in Evesham Township

A pedestrian attempting to cross a stretch of Route 73 in Evesham Township overnight was hit by a vehicle, sustaining critical injuries.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. near Evesham Road near The Promenade, according to 6abc.com. Route 73 was closed for several hours, until about 6:30 a.m., while police investigated the scene.

The victim was reportedly found laying on Route 73, and was taken to Virtua Hospital in Marlton.

Police have not revealed the identity of the victim. There is also no word about what kind of vehicle struck the victim, or if the driver remained on the scene.
