Ocean County Marine Killed in Afghanistan

A proud soldier from our backyard makes the ultimate sacrifice.

Christopher Monahan Jr, a marine from Island Heights, NJ was the oldest of three siblings, and a graduate of Central Regional High School in Bayville.

The family received the tragic news on the morning of November 26.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Monahan family, and may we never forget the sacrifice Christopher made for his country.
