No One Harmed in Gloucester Twp. Standoff

A 46-year-old man acting erratic and threatening to hurt himself led to a standoff with police in Erial Sunday.

The incident, in the Brittany Woods town home neighborhood off Jarvis Road, began around 1:30 a.m., and ended just before 10 a.m., 6abc.com reports.

The man was destroying items in front of one of the homes. Authorities did not confirm whether that home belonged to the suspect. Residents were asked to shelter in place, according to Gloucester Twp. Patch.

He was reportedly taken into custody by Gloucester Twp. Police, but there's no word about any charges he may face.
