Truck Jumps Curb in Gloucester Township, NJ, Narrowly Misses Starbucks
It was a close call in Gloucester Township after a box truck appears to have jumped a curb of a shopping center, nearly plowing into a Starbucks.
The incident happened Friday on Blackwood-Clementon Road in Clementon (at the intersection of Little Gloucester Rd.) A yellow hy-point Farms vehicle reportedly damaged a street pole and pretty much destroyed the stone Cherrywood Plaza sign, according to one witness.
Photos tagging the Gloucester Twp. Talk Facebook page taken by Ed Rainas captured just how narrowly the truck missed running into the Starbucks and Pizza Hut stores.
There were no reports of injuries, but I can't help wonder (knowing how many parking spots are right where this truck seems to be), if any cars were damaged. And the Starbucks drive-thru lane is RIGHT there, too.
Is this a Starbucks 'curse'? That same store was just the subject of a temporary closure after an employee tested positive for Hepatitis A, affecting hundreds of customers. They say things come in three's, but hopefully another scary incident isn't on the way!
