NJ Teen Grabs Steering Wheel as a Joke, Causes Accident
Here's what NOT to do in a car: Police in New Jersey say a car crashed when a teenage passenger grabbed the steering wheel as a joke.
Four teens were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident, which took place Monday night in Fairfield along Rt. 46-E. The driver and three passengers all suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment, 6abc.com reports.
The 17-year-old male driver and his 16-year old front seat passenger were allegedly "messing around" when the incident occurred. The car then slid on the grass and hit a pair of snow plow blades that were on the ground before it came to a stop between an SUV and a dump truck.
The driver was cited for careless driving and violating the rules of his provisional driver's license.
